Lancias characteristic independent front suspension, the Sliding Pillar, was an important ingredient of the firms success up to the early 1960s and this highly effective design is to be found on every car the company built from the highly innovative Lambda to the subtle Appia. It is thus fitting that this feature common to all Lancias built between 1922 and 1963 should give its name to certain events whose purpose is to highlight the fame and character of these marvellous cars, and bring together those Lancia enthusiasts who own or simply admire them. Sliding Pillar Rally 2007 - Pays des Vallées (BEL)
The long-established Sliding Pillar Rally goes from strength to strength, and this year the fourth continental weekend will again bring together an eclectic group of Lancia enthusiasts. Gathering in a particularly attractive region on the banks of the river Meuse, they will share their love of good company, good food and above all superb cars. From 1st to 4th June participants will have an unequalled opportunity to discuss narrow V engines of all shapes and sizes, Lancia’s famous front suspension and numerous other topics of mutual interest.
